How about telling the truth on an internet forum that nobody cares if you lie on anyways?
Thanks for letting us know you are a liar here.

It's the same thing with used cars these days. But no I'm going to get a house first since it'll be on a loan and the interest rates are low. Can always save up for a couple years and buy a used z06 with cash, until something on the house breaks...
One 2009 black Z06 in Maryland probably isn't going to mean much to the guy living in southern California who doesn't like black.
That's why I said cars are simple.
Also if a house repair is going to cost you a five figure car, I think that's out of your ballpark.
2009 ≠ 2010
Try again. I don't like that color either. You're still not getting it. If you couldn't careless what the car looks like or what options it has, then you may be in luck, jump on the couple options you dug up. However, if I'm spending $50k for a car, it's going to be the color I want with the options I want.

That's not to say you can't get a Z06 relatively cheaply, Carmax is listing a 2006 with 30k miles for $42k a few miles from me. But that is out of warranty, so there are definitely some sacrifices you will have to make as opposed to buying new.
And alkemyst successfully trolls another thread, congratulations attention whore.
Funny considering he regularly laments how garage is turning into OT and yet literally trolls more than everybody else combined.
I mean it as with a house it's one thing after another chipping away at your savings, and therefore increasing the amount of time it would take me to get from $0-40k cash. That 2 years could turn into 3+.
You might think so, but that's not the case for a serious car buyer. Maybe for people kicking tires online, but in reality, it doesn't much matter.
In the ad I posted for my dad's Z06 up there, we were getting calls from all over the country. As a matter of fact, two of the most interested parties were in CANADA (one in B.C., one in Toronto), neither exactly close to Arizona.
He finally ended up selling the car to guy in Texas, but the calls came in daily from everywhere.
To sum up, in the 30+ calls he/we took, none were in state.
Point being, yes, plenty of people are more than willing to either travel to pick up their dream car, or, as the case is/was, pay the few hundred dollars to have it covered and shipped. Chances are, if you can afford $50,000+ on a barely used sports car, you can also have it shipped to you for less than a grand. In many cases with private sellers, you can negotiate a few hundred bucks off, to help cover shipping.
Well...yeah...uh...of course. That's just understood (I would hope) by anybody buying a used car. You're probably going to have to make some sacrifices to get the exact color/trim you want, at the right price.
That said, let's not get hung up splitting hairs. Plenty of 2009 and 2008s with under 5,000 miles can be found on Corvette/Z06 trader sites, most in the mid-$50s.
So, how about that Camaro ZL1. I hear it has an LSA engine.
I don't think it's the smart move putting most of your savings into a car.
What kind of transmission is that power mated with?
