I think it's a pricing error - supposed to be $220 ( = $300 - $80).

note these are the older model sibings to the dts2500's NOT the dts2500.
less powerful sub and less powerful satellites.

so it does not look like a mistake.

All I know is that the older one is white and the newer one is black, does anyone know if these connect to the Digital in on the back of the soundblaster live cards? I know the the newer ones do but I can't see it these do the same as well. It would help.

Got a set of these for my kids pc a few days ago. I have the newer ones [black] in mine. Cant tell any difference between the 2 sets, they both sound great. A very nice deal

The system that's for sale here is based on the PCWorks 2.1 speakers. All satelites except for the center satelite speaker are the &quot;smaller&quot; speakers (2 inch) used in PCworks and PCWorks 4 point surround. The center speaker is the same one (3 inch) as the Soundworks series, including FPS2000 and DTS2500. The subwoofer is exactly the same as the one featured in PCWorks as well.

Whereas the &quot;new&quot; DTS2500 which are black, have all 5 satelites based on the Soundworks series (3 inch), and it has a much more powerful subwoofer.

The above post is correct.

The ones on sale for $119.95 are the older ones, with less powerful amps for the sub as well as the satellites. They're white in color and other than that, it's still an AWESOME deal for $120.

Right now I've got a Cambrigdge SoundWorks SoundWorks Digital 2.1 setup with my SoundBlaster Live! Value with digital out.

But, I'll be buying these speakers (the $120 ones) next payday to get 4 speaker surround. Since I live in dorm style housing I don't need the most powerful system on Earth, but the 4 speakers and Dolby Digital will finally come in handy.
