How do the Slim500's compare to the Labtec Pulse-424's?? Has anyone heard both models?

sounds very good! beyond altec lansings and any of those cheap 300watt speakers at comp shows..

less than 24hr turnaround... not bad at all. and the speaks are even cool too.

Could probably mount them pretty easily to the bottom of my desk.

Received my speakers a 8:30am this morning in Atlanta after a 7pm order on the 7th.

Fantastic turnaround.

Speakers aren't too bad either! Can't complain for $30 (bass is a bit muddled, but hey...it's all good).

Ahhh you freaks! I have been waiting for my Logitech Z560's (from Dell) for so long and I can't wait no longer!! I'm getting these. I'll probably give these speakers to my friend once I get my logitechs or pass it on to my parents computers. But you freaks! Ok I'm stupid. I didn't read the website in my excitement. They are clearly black speakers from what the website says. Oh well, still good for the sound! And looks too, but not as fancy as I wanted. But they'll match my future Lian Li PC65's!

Just got mine. Sound is decent for $30 (I was expecting a little better sound quality from the sub, actually), but the fact they are wall-mountable makes this an awesome deal for those of us with LCD monitors. Wall mounted LCD + speakers + wireless kb & mouse = empty desktop.

Ishmael, point the subwoofer towards a wall for best results.

in normal facing operation, the subwoofer speaker should be facing the wall since its rear firing.

I've been resisting for a long time ... my sister talked me out of it ... but .. i want them... well...maybe it will be oos soon before i get them...

are the wires connecting from the sub to the sats pretty long?
and just wondering if there is a lot of distortion when you turn up the volume...

yes for $30 these speakers are extremely hard to beat. brand name and solid sound quality. They sound better for music than gaming. They tend to sound a bit "hollow" for gaming.

That wire from sub to sat is a couple feet long. if I was at home i'd give you measurements. I really like the small footprint they have, and extremely big bang/buck.

I had these thing cranked all the way. no distortion and was uncomfortably loud.
These speakers require some eq tweaks but sound great at this price range.

good god this was an awesome deal. Just got the speakers and they sound great! I still think we could have all saved about two more dollars if creative didn't use SO MANY DAMN TWISTIES!!! Other than that, I'm happy
