Can 2 cordless phones co-exist in the same home????

Worst Buy is taking forever sending my replacement voucher for a phone. Im getting really close to going out and getting a replacement in the mean time.

The main question can 2 cordless phones both made by the same manufacturer co-exist within the same hone when using the same phone number.

I heard a rumor a while ago that 2 cordless on the same phone line would cause the signals to cross.

any truth to this?????

Anyway, I have 2. They are different manufacturers, but they work just fine.

Yes. If you have problems just change the channels on either phone till it clears up. FYI this is only a problem if you are using both phones at the same time

There are a minimum of 10 different cordless phone channels, not counting 900mhz. So yes.

In my household my roommate has a Toshiba 2.4GHz and I have a Panasonic 900MHz, we've used them at the same time hundreds of times with no interference on either end.

Thats because they're using different parts of the spectrum

It shouldn't be a problem with phones that use the same part of the spectrum...normaly they just switch to another channel.

dude, my cordless's are fvcked up whenever I dial, they conflict and one turns on or something. Don't do it unless they are like 2.4 ghz and 900 mhz

My phone has a base and then you can buy additional units for it so you don't have to worry about much interference. Just charge the bases and you're all good.

It's fine if you have a 'good' phone. My roommate and I have IDENTICAL Panasonic 900 MHz phones, and are totally independent of each other. And another set of friends have the exact same phones, except theirs are 2.4GHz Panasonics.

Mind you, the pairs of phones are identical model numbers and everything. Never had any problems...
