caps actually ~10/2


can steadily score 7ms or less... but this is a speedtest sitting on my isp's network..

You're measuring ping in milliseconds?
For how far away?
Try microseconds or nanoseconds!

Oh and since you're stuck with such a course measurement stop picking a server that's in your neighborhood. Let's see what your pings are at 500mi, 1000mi away, etc. Try pinging Australia.

One day in most of your lifetimes you will be able to do a speedtest to Mars. That ping you will be able to measure with a sand glass, however.

When you're in the clouds you need a big stack of RAM SANs connected to infiniband to see how long it takes to FTP MKV bd rips to Google's servers. It doesn't take long. Even the huge mdb files go over in under a minute and those files are tearabyte sized!
