Can anyone confirm that this OCZ PS is the right one

I've had 3 different one's that I almost sent payment for already and I don't want to be sending a beast like this back

I want the best OCZ 520w supply that works with the Neo4 (non-SLI board) and has the extra -5VDC Rail.

I don't think most of the Neo4 boards need that -5V line; it's only the very first batch that required it for the onboard sound (and IIRC they used some old connector for it that doesn't appear on any modern power supply). That PSU in general is pretty good and powers the system in my signature without any problems. You can get it a little cheaper from Monarch though.

Hmmm, well I guess that's why I am confused.

Monarch show on their web site under the Neo4 that "Audio Requires -5VDC Rail on Power Supply"

I really can't belive this BS. Monarch tells me that they don't sell a power supply that will even run this board with the extra -5V line. OCZ tells me that it was the Neo4 Platinum SLI board that needed the extra rail?

Seems like everybody is telling me something different. WTF -I thought this was supposed to be a popular mobo?

I'm just repeating what I heard about this; for all I know maybe the -5V connector is in fact still needed, although it seems crazy that MSI would require some obsolete connector like that for a higher end board. There is probably someone here who has this board and can give more info.

Thanks for your replies, CP5670, I?m not doubting your post. You info. makes more sence than anyones. I?m just frustrated being on the verge of purchasing and can?t get a difinitive simple answer from any dealers/manufacturers. And, of course, MSI?s tech support number has been busy for 3 hours!

Other web sites like zipzoomfly have no such notes declaring that this connector is necessary, but I want to be positive before throwing out my credit card number all over the place.

not to bring this back from the dead, but I have just installed the ModStream 520W in my K8N platinum and it's great. Had a Turbo Cool 400W previously that died 2 months prior to the expiration of it's warranty (I changed the fan to the silencer version though so it may have been the reason).
