I'm running a (refurb) Cisco E2500 w/Shibby Tomato 1.10. Runs great. It cost me $35 + ship at homestore.cisco.com . It supports dual-band 300N (2.4Ghz) + 300N (5Ghz).

Edit: Here's a link, they are still available. Cheapest decent Open-Source-supported dual-band router on the net, I think.

bought a Buffalo Airstation - WHR-300HP for ~$50

beats the hell out of a 2wire Wireless Gateway that was providing wireless

netgear 3500L with ddwrt. Usually I avoid netgear but ddwrt makes this thing shine. Cheap, gigabit lan, ddwrt, stable.

I also have this as a wireless ethernet bridge and it works well

I was looking as well. After scrolling through smallnetbuilders router charts for a few hours, I found this gem on sale at Amazon.

For $65 an N900 router is difficult to pass up. I really just need the gigibit ports (it has 7) for when I hard wire the house next month. I don't really expect to see much improvement over my WNR2000 as far as wireless capability goes, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
