Try Arizona "Caution Energy" drinks. You can buy it right off their site for $16.95/24pk.

I usually pick up 3 or 4 4pks when i go to walmart for well under $3 a 4pk.

They taste great too. They also come in a low carb, low calorie, artificially sweetened version.

It's not exactly what you wanted, but these are great.

10 of them for under $3 at Walmart. The berry flavor is great. A lot more punch to them than any energy drink.

If you have a Stater Bros grocery store near by, they sell Monster 24packs for pretty cheap. The last pack I got from there came out to $25 because of a sale. Prior to that they ran about $28. Still cheaper than Costco.

As Jjsole recommended, I found an Aldi's about 5 miles away. I found the 24 pack of the "red thunder" and bought it. I just got back. Havent tried it yet, but I'd like to say a few things about that store (Aldi's).

Im assuming it's a chain grocery store. That place has got to be the most ghetto grocery store I've ever been in. The first thing I notice is that it's in a poor area. As I walk up to the store, I see that have shopping carts outside....that may be rented for $0.25. Wow...then I walk inside and I notice that there are no isles....the products are stacked up to form isles. I also notice one cashier and a long line of people waiting. As I got to the cashier, I pulled out my debit card and tried to use it as credit. If you use a debit card as debit, your bank charges a small fee. The woman tells me "cash or debit only!" I used debit, damn it. I bought the red thunder anyways, it was only $18!!! Havent tried it yet, but I assume it tastes ike most energy drinks. I'll probably buy my energy drinks there from now on, as long as this "red thunder" stuff does the trick.

Thanks for the tip Jjsole!

Based on your description, I can indeed confirm you were in an Aldi's.

I had no problem with the 'ghetto' aspects because of the values available. They are great to get certain things at rock bottom prices, like Matt's Cookies (they rebrand them.)

The irony of the common 'ghetto' impression of this store, is that they are one of the largest retailers in the world. Their margins on products are only pennies on the dollar, which is why they have long long lines, don't take credit cards and have the aisles and 25cent carts setup as such.

Its unfortunate they are charging 75 cents a can now for Red Thunder (it was 75 cents, then 50 cents, now back to 75) altho that's still good imo.

Yea, the 4 pack of red thunder is $2.99.

I saw a sign in the store that said something about Aldi's having very low overhead. Boy, they were not kidding. To cut costs on parking lot shopping cart attendents, they charge $.025 to rent a cart, and they refund you the $0.25 if you return the cart to it's appropriate place. Pretty clevor if you ask me. The store has no fancy decorations; it's bare minimum. It has a stock of food products at very low products. They even charge for bags. I noticed the cashier placing all items in the cart of a customer, without a bag. The customer asked for some bags, and the cashier quoted a price (I dont remember how much). A very thrifty business model that can thrive in an area like the one I visited.

$18 for a 24 pack though....can't beat that!!! Next time, I'll bring cash though.

Shock Coffee

It's less expensive and there's a even more caffeine.

But it doesn't taste like engine coolant.

Ohh humbug.
I'll admit "shock coffee" doesn't taste nearly as delicious as a good Sumatra, but it is better tasting then stuff like Folgers. Judging from the look of the beans, the blend that they use is about 2/3 arabica and about 1/3 robusto. They have to use the robusto beans in order to get the caffeine content higher. It is a little bit bitter, but no more so than regular coffee.

Also, I'm not sure what engine coolant tastes like (you aren't supposed to drink it .. FYI) however, coffee is excellent.

That said, Have you tried red bull? That stuff is horrendous. It is vile. It is not as bad as broccoli, but it's on the list of 10 worst tasting things I've ever tried.
