Can Anyone With a 2005 3200 Get Past 2.5?

Nope, several people here in the forums lifted their 3000/3200 over 2500 and even 2600. Well, for me personally the ceiling IS 2500...that's what my 3200 does (51/04)
I think according to the results around here, the ceiling may be somewhere between 2650 and 2700 if you got a really lucky chip...
IMHO luck does not depend on the week at all but only on the single chip...
...or maybe AMD lowered the high quality with the newer chips to discourage overclockers a bit... ;-P

0503 3200+ here, and mine tops out at 2.45 Ghz at 1.55V. Not as high as some people have gotten, but 20% is still a nice overclock by my standards.

I've only seen 3000's and 3500's go above 2.5 or 2.6. I can't go higher than 2.55GHz no matter what I try. Maybe it's the motherboard, but maybe it's the chip because I've heard of people getting their 3000's to 2.6 on this same board.

I get 2700mhz with my 3000+. It all depends how lucky you are and with what week/stepping.

I think that your mobo north bridge chip is on air. Maybe that's the reason.

Again, I'm talking about the 3200 Winnies. Is there a 3200 Winnie that can get past 2.5 on air? The 3000's can do it easily on the same motherboard, so I can't buy the NB issue. Usually, if the mobo can't support it, it won't even boot. The processor threshhold is reached when you run Prime or SuperPI and it fails. My mobo max is about 2.7, but the CPU max is 2.55. At 2.6 it fails SuperPI 1M immediately.
