can i do a double minor?

i am doing the coursework for a business minor, and i found out that i'm only two classes away from getting a japanese minor.....while i would prefer the business minor(since it would look a lot better on a degree than japaneses), can i do both?

do whatever you want. You know that minors dont show up on the diploma anyways. As long as you take the courses, your future employer might notice. Taking extra courses vs. having a minor means no different to the future employer.

heh iwas actually unaware of that, i've never gotten a degree before, and never seen one, i was under the impression it was "MAJOR" with concentration in "MINOR" or sometning

If you can satisfy the overlap requirement then you should be able to do it.

Stuff like 2 majors can only share 2 common courses as requirement, 1 major and 1 minor can only share 1 course requirement, etc. stuff like that. check with your college/departments.

BA in English, with minors in 1) Scottish Arts/Music, and 2) Religion & Philosophy

I did. A BE in Chemical Engineering and a "double minor" in Economics and Psychology. Of course, at GA Tech, they don't list that on your main degree. They just give you an additional certificate in your minors.

Definitely pick up the two minors. Always get as many credentials as possible. I'm at Penn State and you can absolutley get as many as you want. I'm a business management major, with international business and Italian minors. Some people above say minors are useless. But, for example, if I am applying for a position that travels internationally, I'm going to look like much better candidate that someone without any minors in these areas. My advice, take all that you can get, get involved as much as you can, and try to network as much as possible. This will give you the greatest chance of being successful right out of college. I already have two: mathematics, and French
