Can I get an advanced rma with crucial?

One stick of ram just died in my computer. I don't want to send the ram off because I won't have a computer...

Also anyone have a link to Crucial's rma section?

Any help would be nice.

Yes, you can, but they charge you for the new kit until they receive your RMA kit in return. Back when kits were $300-500 for 2GB cross-ship charge was a bit harsh but they're probably $100-$150 max now. They're also *extremely* fast with their RMA and ship either overnight or 2nd day. They also credited me within one business day of receiving my RMA'd kit. Crucial RMA is top-notch for sure, even upgraded my DDR2-1000 kit to DDR2-1066 for free.

I just did my 3rd RMA with them in my rounds of Anniversary Series DDR2 - they seem to be pretty busy right now so expect to sit on hold for a few minutes (maybe as much as 30-40 min) and after that they are fast - like chizow stated they will Cross ship holding the funds - a 2 gig kit is approx 150 which seems like a lot but we're talking MSRP not end user retail

Crucial recently did an RMA for some really old Ballistix. They shipped 1st, and never charged my CC. I shipped the old sticks after I recieved the new ones. They also overnighted the new sticks.

I will say, Crucial is one of the best companys to deal with regarding RMA's! :thumbsup:
