Haha, but man I sympathize. Of course my facial stitches I've had to get were from various sporting accidents or fights at least.
I don't know about you, but I hate when I have to get stitches on my face. Damn doctors have to use that stupid needle to apply the topical anesthesia before sewing. By now I think that may hurt worse than just sewing the stupid cut up. Like you said at least, luckily you didn't lose an eye.

They still use glue all the time, esp. for little kids. Hurts less obviously, and you don't have this bigass needle held in front of their face. For big surgeries like a hip replacement they would generally use staples though.
For a face, I'd personally ask for a plastic surgeon if possible. An emerg doc will do a safe job, but a plastic surgeon will make it look as good as it could be.
Obligatory...Kid, you're gonna shoot your eye out with that thing!

This. My last bike wreck was because the crank broke. I'd like to blame someone other than the Chinese but...it's very easy to hurt yourself if you're doing something and not thinking about it. and that's why i got hurt, not because of home fitness specifically (you can also hurt yourself at a gym if you don't do an exercise correctly)
So I thought you guys need a breakdown of my major scars:
Head just above hairline: ex broke a door over my head
Forehead: dui crash
Left eye: caught the corner of a coffee table when I was a kid
Left cheek (face): kid hit me with a book in high school
Left shoulder: Woke up with a gash when I lived in Detroit. Rumor was I got in a fight with a guy who pulled a knife but I honestly don't remember.
Top of right wrist: humping injury
Bottom of right wrist: put my hand through a window
Kunkles (both hands): can't count or explain all the scars
Right knee: dui crash
Left shin: got stepped on playing football. Hair still hasn't grown back 20 years later.

I can't remember all my scars like that. I have a hairline one from getting my teeth kicked my lip when I got down on my knees to challenge someone to a fight. I won.
I have one to the side of my face from having a can of soup/vegetables thrown at me after kicking someone's ass. I kicked their ass again.
I have miter saw marks along the back of my left hand due to someone pushing a saw down on that hand. I pulled it out and proceeded to cover a classroom in blood. He got suspended.
I have a couple scars in my right hand from being almost hit with a club with nails through it.
My one ear has a tear in it. From some dumbass chick.
I have tons more I have no idea where they all came from.
