Can I hook up a CDRW drive to the same IDE as my HDD?

Just wanting to add a 3rd CDRW option to my system. Can I run it from the same IDE that my HDD is on?

As I have heard, but alas I am out of channels and not a single ATA expansion card in sight. Looks like the WD just got a new neighbor.

You can, but the performance will suffer...

it's fine. the only slow down if you rip or copy from the cd drive to that hard drive. that's the only slow down.

burning from that hard drive to that cd drive should be fine.
