That Seagate Hard drive at ZipZoomFly, but with FREE 2nd day shipping = savings of $???

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...jsp?ProductCode=101565

The same MSI 6600GT but at ZZF, with FREE 2nd day shipping = savings of $2 + free shipping savings

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...jsp?ProductCode=321916

The same Corsair memory but at ZZF, with FREE 2nd day shipping = costs $4 more at ZZF, but FREE shipping should make that up and maybe more

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...p?ProductCode=80098-21

Those Logitech speakers from ZZF, no FREE shipping on these though, suggest you order serperatly from stuff you get FREE shipping with from ZZF = savings of $30, if you order before 1/31 you also get a $10 mail in rebate making a savings of $40

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...jsp?ProductCode=360410

Windows XP PRO from ZZF, with FREE 2nd day shipping = savings of $1 + free shipping savings

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...jsp?ProductCode=604631

That should save a good chunck of change right there.

I think the monitor is ok, but don't buy it from JR.com. The cheapest they ship that monitor for is $90+. Buy that monitor from Newegg, they have it for $3 cheaper and only $25 shipping.

good recommendations guys...but I think we should convince him to raise his price to $2000 if he wants an LCD + a future proof overclockable box.

Overclcok to 3800 levels.
Depends on the chip you get. I'd say a safer bet would be getting the 3000+ and getting it to 3800 levels

Hmmm, i think a better question is "Why are you posting?" All you are doing is trolling, because you obviously dont know what you are talking about.

If you would read the later posts you would have known that the system has been modified heavily, and he only wants to spend $1500.

I can't believe I made it through this entire thread

Crescent,

Looks like you've made some much more sensible choices based on the guidance and advice given by the many respondants.

Cutting corners on the monitor, pick up the KDS 19" CRT @ Office Depot when it's on sale for under $100 after rebate and coupon. It's a decent pick and is backed by a decent 3-year warranty. The LCD can be picked up at a later date and it never hurts to have a backup monitor in case something goes wrong

I think I'm going to go with CRT, because even the best LCD isn't as good as a CRT half it's price.
