Question Can I stream 720p while playing 900p

Hello.
Can I stream at 720p 60fps while playing games at ultra 1600x900? My processor is AMD 2600. I plan to play Dota 2 or CS:GO at Ultra detail with 75 fps using GTX 1650 Super 4GB. But to more heavy games such as Skyrim or AAA games I plan to do it at 900p 60 fps.

Can GTX 1650 Super do it?

Can GTX 1650 Super do it?

Absolutely yes, streaming can processed to a standardized format: resolution, fps, compression etc.
And it can be done using Nvidia's hardware encoder (NVENC), with very little impact on gaming experience - if you're streaming with a solution that supports it (Nvidia "Broadcast Live" tool being the easiest to run).

If you had a processor with video encoder, you could use that as well.
But you can also encode the stream with the CPU itself, which will take away some performance (which may or may not be noticeable).

Check OBS. It can be run on both CPU or NVENC. Try them both - you'll know how they affect your gaming.

I'm not really gaming these days, so can't really help you there.

I guess that really depends on a game.
Judging by the tests I've seen, 1650 Super is not exactly a 1080p 60fps GPU when it comes to the latest AAA games. Dropping to 900p won't change much.

But if you're playing something older or lighter, there's no reason why 1650 Super wouldn't be sufficient.

I feel like when playing Control 1650 Super can't do Ultra setting 900p 60 fps while streaming on 720p. Maybe I was wrong but I hesitate when spending $75 more for 1660 super.

You definitely can do it with GTX 1650. I too am not much into gaming these days but looking at all other capabilities of the components, you would do great
