TV: Olevia 437V (~50lbs without stand)
Stand: Can't find many details on the make/model through Google
So way back when Circuit City was going bankrupt, I purchased one of those fancy TV stands that has a metal spine to which you can mount your TV. Nowadays, most TV stands that can do this typically look like they simply welded a Monoprice mount to the metal spine and called it a day.
My particular stand has two separate vertical hangars/bars that attach to the VESA mounting holes on the TV. The hangars have hooks/tongues that fit into the groove of a horizontal rail that is bolted to the metal frame of the stand.
My concern is with the bolts that came with my kit. If the manual is to be believed, I used 4x16mm bolts to attach the vertical bars to my TV that has a 200x100 pattern. Everything seems snug and the TV has been sitting on the stand for the past half hour.
I just have horrid visions that the TV will come crashing down due to some cheap bolt shearing off. The fact that the shelf underneath it is made of glass doesn't help either. I've never used VESA mounts on a TV before so please tell me I'm being paranoid and that these skinny bolts are more than capable of keeping that load suspended...
