I replied to the very first message with a stop/unsubscribe response the same day. It went unanswered and I received a second message. I responded to that one as well (and noted it was a second request.) Though it went unanswered for a few days, I did just now receive a reply that apologized and says I’ll be unsubscribed from future messages.

So, keep responding directly to the messages as well (don’t report as spam though as it goes to mods who can’t do anything about.)

Obviously, this is still a poor policy, as opt in would be much preferable, and at a minimum there should be a way to unsubscribe yourself from the unsolicited messages without waiting for manual intervention (you know like most legitimate marketing emails offer.)
