Can my laptop be overclocked?

I think you already know the answer. Which is unfortunately no. And even if you could, you probably wouldn't want to because laptop CPUs must operate under worse conditions than desktop cpus. Plus you wouldn't want a hole melting in your laptop because of more heat

Laptops and mini-notebooks are very much overclockable!!

I overclocked my Toshiba Libretto 50CT from a p75 to 100 mhz by just cutting one soldered pin. (increased mainboard bus speed from 50mhz to 66mhz) If you can get schematics on some of the clock chips its very easy to do if you have a steady hand!! (they are small!!)

My CTX laptop has a ability to overclock. It actually has a regular socket5 on board with dip switches. It turns out to be a 266 chip clocked at 233. I rejumpered it but set it back to 233 because the rest just wasn't designed for that speed (AKA heat).

My Compaq (Don't start complaining) overclocks very well. A Presario 1247 with a AMD K62-400 Mhz. I put a K6-III 450+ in and am running at 550Mhz no problems at all. The board has voltage setting from 1.4V to 2.2V, FSB settings of 66,100 and 133. and Multiplyer settings of 4.0 to 5.5 that I could figure out. Not bad for a Crappy Compaq laptop.

It was running 2.2 volts on with the K6-2 and drawing more watts, now its running 2.0 volts due to the .18 micron K6-III+, so it is really lasting longer on the battery.
