can not delete some files on microsd

when I am trying to delete *some* files (movies..) on my galaxy Tab S2 microSD .. I keep getting "task failed" or alike .. I have tried half a dozen file managers .. reboot .. safe mode ..

but I can delete them fine on my laptop!

I am thinking its got to be some file permissions issue ..

there has got to be some program that will let me reset all file permission on my microSD card

or some solution?

please help .. thank you ..

Did you try using the built-in Samsung My Files file manager?

If I were you, I would backup the card and reformat it with the tablet.

At least you're not in my situation where my SanDisk card is permanently read-only and nothing (NOTHING!) can fix it. After some Googling, someone said it's a hardware switch that gets flipped when there are too many write errors as a form of preservation. I'm pretty sure that's what has happened to me. Hopefully my RMA is approved. Edit: it was.

Doesn't that involve sending an SDcard with all your data unsecured on to a third party?

Given that SDcards are pretty cheap now I'd be tempted just to buy a new one and fry the old one.

I too have a 64gb Sandisk msd that I used a tool to format it in fat32 so I could use it on my 3ds. Wont format at all and I cant add or erase anything. I've tried ever tool and trick.

Definitely thought about that, but I originally bought it for and only used it for external media storage for my phones. Never used it as camera and app storage or anything. I looked through the contents carefully, and there's nothing I'm too concerned about.

That's how my 64GB Sandisk died. It was under warranty and replaced, but I had to send the old one back with a collection of photos and my entire music collection. I wonder if anyone there got some use out of it.
