can somebody help? Cyangenmoded S3 stuck on boot logo

Just tried to update ROMs and now I'm stuck with a spinning logo on boot up.
I bought the phone with CM already installed so I have never done a flash myself. I'm no stranger to such things when it comes to PCs, consoles etc, but I literally have no idea where to start when it comes to phones.

Okay. Here is what I would do if you wouldn't mind losing your game save files and etc, but before we do that, we can try something.

Turn off phone
While pressing the On button, also press the volume down button at the same time
Something like this should show up

Not exactly the same but close to that.
Now go to "wipe cache" (Using the volume up and down makes the highlighted bar move up and down)
Press the power button to select
Go down to "Yes I do/whatever it says"
Let it clear cache
Restart
Wait like 10 minutes to see if anything happens

If it still doesn't work:
Follow the same steps to get to the screen in the picture
Go to "wipe data/factory reset"
Select this option
Let it finish
Reboot
See if it is fixed.
(Note that this option should not get rid of your pictures or music)

Yeah I was sitting in ClockWorkMod when I posted this... waiting for the 10.2 image to download from their site (taking 15mins+!) was going to do a fresh install.

Such a long road back to getting everything set up right again.

Well I'm back to a clean CM install it seems.
But ta hell if I can figure out how to get a google account on this thing. I can't even get apps installed. WTH.

ahh apparently google apps are busted with the latest CM and android combos. Have to patch.

Yes and no.

When I bought the phone (off Swappa) I was thinking I'd eventually "upgrade" it to CM. It then arrived with CM on it already so it sort of made the decision for me.

Long story short here is that I have it working again, and learned quite a bit in the process too.

Haha, no problem. I'm what the community call a "flashoholic/crachflasher" so stuff like this happens sometimes.

Make sure to make a backup using CWM so that if this happens, you can always revert back using the backup.
