Can someone figure out the difference between these two?

The only differences I can see are the description (89W), item number and Model number.

Other than $4, what's the difference?

ADA is rated at 110W.

Anyone have any idea how the 89W chips overclock?

You forgot that you also get an AMD wallet -or- money clip with the 89 watt unit!

Since the ADV version consumes less power, you will get the crappy HSF instead of the good one with heatpipes. Only 110W versions get the better HSF.

That doesn't matter if you already have your own high-end HSF, like the recent Zalman CPU coolers. In that case, you'd be better off buying the non-boxed/OEM version (i.e. without HSF) of the more efficient CPU.

OEM versions of End of Line parts can be hard to find, and they usually cost not much less than retail. might as well get the retail package, and then buy an aftermarket cooler (you can even buy the AMD heatpipe coolers). that way you at least get the 3 year warranty.
