Life isn't about money
and she has taken it in the ass from John Mayer, so the way I look at she lost. All about perspective I suppose...

Vanilla Ice? He didn't have even 1/10th the success in total, that Taylor had before she was 18.
Ice Ice Baby was released 24 years ago...
Vanilla Ice was just arrested for burglary and grand theft. He's been arrested several times.
How could anyone mention him in comparison to Swift?
Next you'll probably stoop down to a Milli Vanilli comparison...
You know who was mega big 20 years ago? Paula Abdul, who talks about her any more? Taylor will be "WHO?" in 20 years mark my words. Taylor SUCKS and her time is close to being up. Popular artists don't stand the test of time, good artists do. Prince is still talked about, New Kids On The Block? Not so much. And Taylor's as far away from a Prince as you can possibly get. She'll be another Vanilla Ice artist that people who remember will be embarrassed to admit they listened to 20 years ago.
She's worth $200mil at 25.
You're neffing on ATOT.
I think she won.
I wasn't using him to comparison their success, I used NKOTB & Paula Abdul for that, both sold over 100 million albums. Ice was used as a "fuck I can't believe I use to listen to that trash" in 20 year comparison.
https://www.yahoo.com/music/taylor-swift-replaces-herself-at-1-103075289246.htmlThe singer's third studio album, Speak Now, was released in 2010. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with sales of 1.047 million, and stayed there for six non-consecutive weeks.[11][12] It was certified four times platinum by the RIAA and produced four singles two of which—"Mine" (2010) and "Back to December" (2010)—peaked within the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100.[5] Swift's fourth studio album, Red, was released in October 2012. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 for seven non-consecutive weeks. It debuted with 1.21 million copies sold in its first week, becoming the 18th album in music history to sell a more than a million albums in a single week.[13] "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was released as the album's lead single, and it became her first number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100.[5] Swift again won the Artist of the Year award from Billboard in 2012.
The singer's fifth studio album, 1989 was released in October 2014. It became her fourth consecutive album to peak at number one on Billboard 200 with sales of 1.287 million copies and her third to sell over a million copies. It was the 19th album to sell over a million copies in a single week since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991 and was Swift's highest first week sales. She also became the first artist to have three albums sell a million or more copies in a week.[14] "Shake It Off" was released as the first single and debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.[15] The second single "Blank Space" became Swift's third chart-topper. According to Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Swift is the best selling digital singles artist in the United States, with cumulative gold and platinum single certifications of over 77 million including downloads and on-demand streaming.[16] To date, she has sold over 27 million albums in the United States.[17] Worldwide, these figures increase to over 40 million albums and over 130 million digital downloads sold.[18]
Taylor Swift this week becomes the first female solo artist to replace herself at #1 on the Hot 100.
Swift is the 11th artist to replace itself at #1 since 1955 (which predates the inception of the Hot 100 in 1958). She’s the seventh solo artist to achieve the feat, but just the second solo artist to do it with two records that were entirely solo (no collaborations). The first to do this entirely on his own was Elvis Presley, who scored in October 1956 with the double-listed “Hound Dog”/”Don’t Be Cruel” and “Love Me Tender.”
This generation is so easy to package things up and sell to, that is why.
Spray her with a hose and she is not at all pretty without makeup either. Some women look okay without makeup, she looks terrible and it is CAKED on her.
Every generation has their Pet Rock.
Oh I disagree on Lady Gaga.
She had a gimmick first off, and a so so voice second off.
She was definitely no madonna, where madonna always had that incredible voice, and never needed a gimmick, even though madonna went with the gimmick thing, eventually.
However, I will add that Lady Gaga "has" since developed a much better voice.
Everyone knows she took voice lesson or has been taking, and it has made a huge difference in her vocal talents.
And I give Gaga credit for realizing she needed help (voice lessons and training), and that too much gimmick was never going to carry her long term.
Now that Gaga has advanced into that higher level of entertainer with a more powerful talented voice, a much improved vocal ability, and has moved beyond that American Idol class of signer, I think Gaga would be safe with dropping the gimmick.

I am going to photoshop my dick in that second photo :awe:

Make it pop out of the belly button like the scene in Alien. That would be classic.

Anyone else notice they're losing touch with popular culture? I'm 35 but barely know any of the "new" stars etc.
I feel that at 35 the world is already passing me by and I'm clueless with the new fashions, fads etc. I still rock around with backwards baseball caps. Time to buy a lawn and start yelling at kids
