No. Don't listen to the tards who try to make a coherent timeline out of Zelda. Nintendo has never tried to make a Legend of Zelda timeline and all they're doing is retconning the events in the games. They're not meant to be interpreted as one single story. Would you try to assign a timeline to the Mario games?
The full storyline of Zelda:
- You're a kid in a green outfit
- You bomb dodongos and break pots
- You get special items from dungeons
- You kill Ganon and save the princess
End of story.
No, you are the tard.
Miyamoto has said several times that there is a timeline to zelda, and many of the games reference other games quite frequently.
There was also a statement about a dual timeline occurring from the "split" in OoT. Any real over encompassing story is completely out of whack and confusing.
I'd say don't bother with an overall story except for the direct sequels.
Who the hell is Zelder?
Well the 3D games have a pretty much confirmed timeline
skyward sword > oot > mm > tp(ish) > ww > ph > st
or, if you like split timeline:
Ocarina of Time (Child Timeline) --> Majora's Mask --> Twilight Princess
Ocarina of Time (Adult Timeline) --> The Wind Waker --> Phantom Hourglass --> Spirit Tracks
I thought Twilight was in the Adult timeline and Wind Wake was in the child. I thought after MM Link tried to return and ended up getting shipwrecked on the island with the Tokay, then upon returning found Hyrule under water.
