Can the Patriots get some respect now?

That's exactly what I'm saying. And I'm not the only one. Look at what the better's line was these past 2 weeks.

They weren't exactly "dominant" in last years playoffs. Even the Superbowl was just a defensive show. But now, I find their offense schemes to be simply amazing.

OK, the better's line is set and adjusted by how the bets are being laid down. All that really says is most people are expecting them to fall on their face. (they are actually giving the Chiefs 8.5 this week...now they're a blowout team???).

So, you can only dominate with the offense? Defense and Special Teams don't matter?

NFL.com has a nice article about Bill Belichick and his offense. No you can't win a game with only offense, but the Pats have done it on both sides of the ball. They have allowed very few points on defense and scored a lot on offense. What more could you ask of a football club?

I say, let the so-called football experts continue to not give the Pats any respect. Lack of respect = jealousy. Look what they have done in their last 15 games....they are 14-1 (including pre-season, their only loss coming to the Giants on 8/10, the first pre-season game). Since Tom Brady took over, they are 19-4. What other team can boast a record like that? Let everyone continue to underestimate the Pats, in my opinion, it's worked out pretty damn good so far. Oh, what does that banner say that's hanging from Gillette Stadium? New England Patriots-Super Bowl XXXVI World Champions? That alone says it all.

well since the preseason doesn't mean sh!t you should say they have a 10 game win streak. its more impressive that way.

If it's any consolation, the Saints get even less respect. They just beat two pretty solid teams in a row, the Bucaneers and Packers, and no one has them on the radar. They're a lock to win their division IMHO, and perhaps a pretty favorable at-home schedule for the playoffs.

How can you say, LESS respect?? did the Saints win the Super Bowl last year?? Were the saints the ONLY TEAM in the history of the NFL to be rated an UNDERDOG at HOME the first game of the season??

How can you possibly compare the respect the 'Aints are getting to the way that the Pat's have been summarily dismissed.

Right now, you'd be crazy not to see the Patriots as one of the 3 or 4 best teams in the league.

dude, the preseaon is meaningless. what it is for is to see who will make the team and get your starters a few snaps against something other than the practice squad. so including the preseason in your stats is meaningless. its not jealousy. by that rational spurrier is 5-2 in the NFL. but hes not. hes 1-1.
