Update on Captain Marvel. Was better than I expected. Probably rate it a 7.5 out of 10. IMO definitely not Wonder Woman quality as a female superhero movie, but it had it moments.
better than jw2 plot wise but still a lot of stupid things:
1) motorcycle riders using swords instead of guns?
heck, in the 1st motorcycle rider scene at the beginning of the movie they had guns but instead of shooting john wick at distance, they rode up close to fight him?!?!
2) jw shooting the doctor made no sense.
given jw's personality, how does shooting him save him from being suspected of helping him?
3) Halle Berry shooting up the place because her predecessor shot her dog? (he dog wasnt harmed because it was wearing body armor.)
stupid needless escalation...
4) the mercs at the Continental became clueless red shirts.
they acted like amateurs fighting in the open.
it would have been better if the movie said the mercs all left because reasons and it was just john and the black supervisor protecting the Manager.
5) the black supervisor at the Continental said the High Table forces were armored.
yet he doesn't give jw or his men armor piercing rounds when he initially gave out weapons from the vault??!?!
he does mention the speed of the bullets but so what?? does that mean it's armor piercing?
how does that help the average viewer understand?
6) I was hoping the bald guy was going to take off his glove to show a chopped off finger just like John's and say:
"I told you we were the same. But I returned to the Table"
