No the premise is having a shipping port close to the source to transfer coal to China, any large seaport with rail supply will do the job. On the east coast this would be New York or Norfolk, Then you made the claim that it wasn't possible due to New York facing the Atlantic Ocean when the fact of the matter and I provided a link to show that Norfolk which also faces the Atlantic Ocean is already loading ships with coal that are heading to China.

They have 4 choices to get the coal to China 3 of which are not safe, around the southern tips of South America or Africa and through the Suez Canal (Not safe due to pirates in Somalian waters and potential warring factions that border the canal). So the best possible route would be through the Panama Canal.

I never said "a port facing the Atlantic Ocean", I specifically stated New York, several times, in bold, and also stated it would be impractical to ship from New York, not from Norfolk, because the context was around China owning New York.
