Can you feel the difference between value pc3200 and XMS/hyperX series pc3200 CL2.5 memory?

Thought of upgrading my 1 gig of pc2700 to 512mb of valueram/xms/hyperx pc3200 . first of all, should i make this upgrade and secondly, can you tell/feel the difference between value and xms/hyperx both CL2.5 pc3200 in gaming?

Will do moderate overclocking. edit: would like to run at 200MHz fsb (currently running at 12.5x166).

rig: barton 2500+ , 8rda+, 1gig kingston valueram, ti4200

edit: can 2500 do 200MHz fsb at stock voltage? is this upgrade making sense?

It's possible that your 2500+ can do 200 fsb at stock voltage, but chance are you will have to raise it a bit.
If the ram is good and it does the specs that you want it to do, then it doesn't matter what brand it is..
except for the price that you paid for it

Any RAM rated at PC3200 will run at 200mhz FSB whether it's XMS or the brand you buy at Costco. 200mhz FSB= 400MHZ DDR

Also remember to factor your motherboard into the equation. Earlier revisions of the chipsets on the 8RDA(+) had difficulty achieving higher FSBs. And Matt2 is right; as long as the RAM can run stable at 200MHz, there's no difference.....except maybe the timings, which is definitely something that you won't be able to "feel".

In that case, why do people want to buy hyperx/xms over valueram counterparts if they just want to run at pc3200?
