can you get DSL service without a landline?

I know DSL uses the phoneline so can you get DSL without having a phoneline?

It depends on the carrier and the type of DSL, w/ ADSL generaly you have to have a phone line, SDSL doesn't always require one and if you get decitaded line DSL you'll just get the DSL line and no phone, but its a business class service and tends to cost more.

They are supposed to give you it but depending on your carrier they amy no tlet you.... if they dont repor them to the FCC.

Usually you have to insist on the service since they will tell you it cannot be done.

I do have DSL on a "dry line" as it's called, but in order to get that, i have to pay a $15/month "network fee".

You will almost certainly have to pay some additional service fee to get dry DSL, but it can usually be done.

I think PremiumG is asking if you need the physical copper telephone line into the premise in order to have DSL service (ADSL, SDSL, HDSL, whatever type). The answer to that is yes.

If PremiumG is asking if you need "phone" service, meaning local or long distance voice, then no, not always, depends on the carrier as mentioned.
