Does anyone know if you can overclock DDR2 ECC/Reg server RAM on a non server mobo like P965 or 975x?
Will it perform like non-buffer RAM or is it limited to what it was built to function as?
I am planning to build a E6300 with either P965 or 975x mobo which I hope to get 3.2+. I have a good trade for DDR2 with IC that are highly overclockable but it is PC2-3200 ECC/Rec but report indicates the IC will go PC2-6400 and higher.
What I need to know is will I have any problem overclocking it since it is ECC/Reg on P965 or 975x?
