You people are just not getting it. You're discussing answers as if this was the 1960s and education was important. This is 2017, it's a different world and there are different answers.
1) Bat? Ball? That's sexist and elitist and it's an assault on women, fat boys who get picked last in gym and sensitive men who refuse to participate in the sports military complex. And WTF is that £ symbol? Is that Arabic? Code for an attack? I demand a safe space and I'll sue if subjected to this sort of micro-agression masquerading as a test.
2) Machines making widgets? That's contributing to global warming. How can I answer this kind of question when I know that the Earth is being destroyed by the Industrial capitalist right wing? I demand only organic widgets made by hand in countries that are part of NAFTA so that they can share in our wealth. And I demand questions reflecting that new paradigm.
3) This question is unfair to the inner city test takers who have never seen a lake or lily pads and who therefore have no life experience or frame of reference to be able to conceptualize the problem. And what about kids that couldn't afford summer camp? This class will hold a cry-in until presented with questions that are fair to every student of every race, ethnicity, income group and geographic region. We will not tolerate a lake gap!
