Can you return a monitor (LCD) to newegg for a refund?

I want to try a certain LCD monitor but nobody within 100 miles has one in a store, so I have to order online if I ever want to see one. Can it be returned if I decide not to keep it? Or does this fall under the 8 dead pixel policy so I wouldn't be able to get a refund unless it had lots of dead pixels?

Do not know if monitors are under that policy or not but they should be. Newegg CS is great but just make sure to look for any special warranty terms or any special nots about the return policy.

Does that count as "otherwise indicated"? Because if someone had less than 8 dead pixels they could just say they didnt like the monitor, return it, and buy a different one. That's why i'm not sure if they will accept returns on them unless its for >8 dead pixels.

Yep that would do the trick. Or to find out you can always chat with a live rep. on their website. But I dont think youll have any luck, sorry.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to return it, if you dont like it, you dont like it.
One shouldn't have to be 'stuck' with anything they buy.

If they won't take it back for seven dead pixels, why would they take it back just because you don't like how it clashes with your room decor?

You know there's a really simple way to find out. Ask them.

Nowhere on the return policy section of any particular monitors does it say that it's under a different non-standard return policy, except as it applies to warranty (through the manufacturer only) or returns for dead pixels. So if you just don't like it, they'll probably take it back, but of course you get to pay the shipping charges. Apparently also if you just return something, you might pay a 15% restock fee, but if you buy something else (exchanging it for a different model essentially) then there's no fee. You might have to discuss it with a customer service rep to make sure it's done right though.
