IMO go for ultrawide, all modern games will support the aspect ratio. Older games that don't support it will just run with black bars on the sides.

Movies look much better since they're all 21:9

I would say it really depends on which games you play. Many multiplayer games like overwatch and PUBG support the 21:9 aspect, but actually end up cutting down your vertical FOV because they cut off the bottom and top of the image to make it fit that aspect ratio. So you end up with the horizontal FOV of a 16:9 and less vertical FOV than 16:9. It doesn't affect the image in any way, it's just irritating that you pay all this money for a sweet widescreen, and get shafted in some games because the developer doesn't want to give 21:9 monitor owners an advantage.

This isn't the case with all multiplayer games though.

Check your favorite games and see how they work with 21:9. It does blow away 16:9 for most things.

A current shortlist of monitors I'm quite interested in:
- AOC AGON AG271QG
- ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q
- Viewsonic XG2703-GS
- Dell S2716DG
- Acer Predator XB271HU

Anyone have any experience with the monitors listed above? Any other recommendations?
as I told you

I'll need something that's:

1) 144 Hz & above
2) 27"
3) 1440p minimum
4) Ideally not curved
5) G Sync
6) Below $800 AUD preferably

which monitor to buy from all these 4;

can you help me please;;

It's really a matter of money. Screens from major manufacturers tend to be very similar at similar specs. All 3 monitors which you listed are well respected monitors that are widely used by progamers, so it's really down to which one you like the most and which one is on discount that week.

one person told me that
According to another redditor, Viewsonic XG2703-GS has better build (better materials) than PG279Q which now mostly practices a bussiness trademark as a selling point. Sure, PG279Q is quite above normal as well (with good software too), same with the Acer one. Just browsing through the posts of the last two-three weeks, more people recommended Viewsonic over ROG Swift and Acer XB271HU.

In the end, you will have great time with either of those three.

2019 - someone mentioned LG Nano IPS 27” 1440p 165Hz 1ms monitor (planned for Q2 2019). With that latency for IPS panel, looking quite interesting. Possible absence of FreeSync2/G-Sync for that monitor may not be for you though.

Also, ASUS is working on PG279QZ which should be improved PG279Q.

You won't go wrong with either choice, be it XG2703, PG279Q or XB271HU. With IPS panels, there's that lottery about the amount of BLB (backlight bleed) and glow bleed so if you're unlucky, you may try RMA few times before finally getting a piece with amount of BLB/glow bleed you can live with.

As for Viewsonic, at CES 2018 they announced some 25" and 32" monitors. There's CES 2019 in January so you have that option too - wait for CES announcements (ASUS, Acer, Viewsonic and other manufacturers may announce new monitors) and see after that if you want to buy there and then or wait for release of new (but most likely more expensive) monitors.

If there's successors to the monitors in question, there's also a slight chance of them having good HDR feature as they are in higher-range price level.

do you agree in all these things that he told me;

The thing is ...

Ok let me explain this way. There is a similar problem with high quality headphones, which instead doesnt exist, for example, with gaming mice.
Ive owned a dozen gaming mice, i have friends that have owned 10~30 gaming mice, and we belong to communities of people who have used just about every gaming mouse ever made. This makes it easy to create a language that allows us to describe the experience to a degree of accuracy where you can tell what it FEELS like to own a specific mouse.

For headphones that cost $500 each, this is much harder. These are endgame gear which will always be good, so it's rare for people to own several different models to be able to objectively compare. And it's the same for these monitors.

144hz+, GSync, IPS, 1440p, there is just no way that a screen like that could suck. It's never gonna happen that someone says "i bought a $600 Dell screen but it sucks so i bought a $700 Acer and it's much better".
Only professional reviewers have access to multiple models, and professional reviewers are not gamers - most of the time they have no idea what to look for.

And also they are corrupt AF but thats another story.

TLDR: it's very hard to find reliable reviews so just pick any of the above.

the point is that noone has experience for these 4 monitors

Yeah, I'm not buying that. You can read a review on the products you are asking in your multiple posts across multiple forums.

You never directly respond to anyone asking you tech questions, you just keep posting "which is better?" over and over.
