Can you use the S-Pen stylus on a Galaxy S4?

Would any of the features from using this stylus on the Note 2 be unavailable if using it on the S4? Can one install the necessary drivers and/or apps on the S4 to get similar functionality on the S4?

(I think you can buy the S-Pen on Amazon)

What features are missing if you use a stylus on the S4 then? Is it only the pressure sensitivity because the S4 doesn't have a pressure sensitive screen? Anything else? What about handwriting recognition, and apps, are all the same apps and features (aside from pressure sensitivity) available on the S4?

I don't think the stylus would work at all on the S4, even inaccurately.

I know that the S Pen wouldn't work. Sorry that I wasn't more clear, but now I'm asking about the other styluses that *do* work on the S4. For example the C Pen by Samsung (made for the S3, but works on S4), as well as tons of others by other manufacturers.

The S-Pen will _not_ work because it requires Wacom digitizer. S4 will not detect the pen. As for C Pen or other capacitive pen, they basically emulate your finger. They are not great for writing or drawing that require precision.

You can use them, but might as well just use your fingers unless you are in a cold climate and need to keep hands warm.

That does not look like an S pen to me. At least not the one I have... Look at the huge wide end, that looks like a capacitive stylus.

Again, NO, the s-pen will not work on a non Note device. No wacom digitizer.
ANY capacitive stylus(like the c-pen, c for capacitive) will work. It works like a finger, so any airview features from the S4 WILL work with the stylus.
Again, it is NO WHERE as precise & accurate as an actual s-pen, but beggars can't be choosers.

True

Though I've always wondered why all of the capacitive pens are so fat and spongey feeling. I guess I just don't understand what's needed to make a capacitive pen, but I would think a finer and more rigid point would make for a more precise pen for those without a digitizer.

I think without the digitizer it's impossible for a normal capacitive screen to register that fine of a point.

The Jot has a fine point surrounded by a clear plastic disc to somewhat get around the limitations of capacitive stylus. Its much better than the cheap crayon like capacitive pens but it still sucks compared to the SPen

Just as an aside, please note that my Wacom nylon point stylus works perfectly on my Garmin GPS screen. Much more accurate than a finger tip.
