you just have to make sure that your contract with your phone carrier doesn't prohibit this.
some co's will look down upon this and have provisions for penalties or charging you for long distance service
if you are using a 10-10 number to get around a no-longdistance line.

Just wanted to say thanks to RossMAN on this. It helped me out alot, and actually raised my spirits a tad. It worked fine, and no, I do not have long distance on my phone.

In case anyone cares - I was calling to see whether the fruits of my interviewing twice with the particular company was leading in the direction of a job. I haven't heard back from them since my 2nd interview about 3 weeks ago (3 weeks plus). Well, a little relief, as I was told I am still being considered for the position, however the company has an upcoming board meeting on monday and they have been focused on preparing for that. Hiring for this position will be returned to after this meeting.

Again, RossMAN to the rescue! Thanks a ton.

doesnt it cost extra to have a no long distance line? i wouldnt think they would care, you are already giving them money every month for absolutely nothing in return.
