can your eye heal scratches on the surface?

starting a new thread since the old one got hijacked.
if you get little scratches on the surface of your eyeball, will they heal?
if so, as well as before the scratches, or will it always be sorta messed up?

duh..of course they heal...if not all the peeps who done lasik will be fu'ced ..
of course some people heal better than others. mostly just surface is fine...so long as it ain't the deep
end of the cornea.

fyi u scratch your eye each time u rub it...which is like once every 2 days for me

i think they will heal same as before.i recently had a bit of rust in my eye and the opthomologist said it was healing itself even before she removed the rust

in fact, they give LASIK patients drops to slow down the healing process. this prevents any chance of scar tissue

Yeah, my dad had a gash on his from a stick and it healed in like 2 days...

Yeah it'll heal, but it helps if you're not using the eye (using an eye patch). I had to do that when my friend stuck his finger in my eye in third grade. When I was in high school I had a lot of problems with my eye. Took 15+ trips to an opthalmologist before they found an eyelash way up in there. My eye is still kind of messed up from that.
