I made several orders from Tigerdirect.ca
Their rebate process is very peculiar. I followed all the steps to make sure I wouldn't get screwed. Like for example, after you apply online, you get an email saying they are processing your rebate. But, only after several weeks after sending in the photocopied rebate forms etc did I get an email saying they were going to send the rebate. This makes me highly suspicious since 30 days could pass before someone realizes they needed to send it the printed out rebate form and photocopies of the invoice etc.

Anyway, the shipping on one order (video card) was only $13 Canadian.
But, they don't deliver to postal boxes.

Compuvest ships to Canada and to postal boxes but their shipping is more expensive. However, it's one of those rare places that has old Pentium 3 CPUs for like $10 or whatever. There are some rare finds here and there that are cheap and worthwile.

Monarch Computer also ships to postal boxes if I remember well. And they sometimes have some of the best prices.

Also, I know this is off-topic, but sierratradingpost.com has some very good deals on anything from sunglasses to shoes. I got Gore-Tex hiking boots there cheap and other stuff.

Those are pretty kool sites the only thing is that with exchange rate, taxes and shipping.... it pretty much ends up being equal to any regualr retailer here. Another problem is rma's etc.. that can cause a problem since you are in a different country.

Well, actually, do a search on pricenetwork.ca and you'll see the Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4 GHz at $270 or more. That does not include taxes and shipping. I just bought the same CPU from Compuvest and it's $163 U.S. plus $25 U.S. shipping. Total cost in CDN dollars? $270 So, I'm saving at least $40 plus shipping. I also ordered a X700 Pro from Tigerdirect.ca for $135 CDN. (Actually, that and an anti-static wrist wrap with taxes and shipping was $185 CDN.) Check pricenetwork.ca then pricegrabber.ca Whatever, I saved a significant amount of money there too. And on Unreal Tournament 2004, that video card isn't too far away from the 6600 GT. And by the way, that 3400+ 2.4 GHz is also more powerful than a fricken' FX-51.

LOL, I think I'm starting to get good at this.

This is a great computer retailer in the greater Vancouver area. I can't vouch for their e-commerce/shipping as I've never used it, but they have a great website, good support, and most importantly good prices (often cheaper than NCIX).

I've just done a "full" comparison between several of these online retailers. I still have a few to check but so far, here are two that stand out:

www.shoprbc.com
www.canadacomputers.com

Why? Because with the shipping cost and taxes, they had the lowest overall prices for parts to build a complete computer. They also had the kind of selection required to build a complete computer with many different brand name parts.

Some places have a short selection of brand names to choose from. And sometimes they don't have many recognized brand names.
