So who are the AT readers voting for?

The election is on Monday. I'm kinda stoked cuz the X1900XT graphics card is coming out on Monday too.

I'm voting Conservative personally.

So is a conservative in Canada like a moderate in the US?

So who voted for the Bloc?

To all the French-haters voting Bloc: "Bloc Quebecois" has nothing to do with "blocking" French people. Voting for the Bloc would make part of North America just like France. Would you like that? Hmm??

Yeah, cuz you wanna "block" the French Canadians.... Is someone really that stupid they would interpret bloc to mean block? No way. Well. OK, I can think of a couple in here that might think that.

You'd be surprised. The Reform party that Harper used to be a part of used to propose a flat tax. They were even further right than the Republicans.

The party has moved to the left since then, but they are still pretty far right for a Canadian party.

The conservatives needs a REAL moderate leader. Somebody like Belinda would have been PERFECT. Instead, they've had Stockwell Day and now Steven Harper, both who are far too right and far too stupid.

Last time, i voted Bloc... but this time, my vote goes to NPD

Conservatives don't match with my values, Liberals rime with scandals and I can't stand Boiclair (so i won't encourage the independence movement)... Layton looks to be the best choice to me

She WOULD have been good until she pulled that defection stunt.

Stunt? People leave and join other parties all the time. She saw there was nowhere to go in the Conservatives, and saw opportunities in the Liberals. Stephen Harper is a MORON, and at least she saw that.

I love how I come from the most NDP leaning province in the union and we vote conservative Federaly and overwhealmingly NDP in provincial elections.
And yet all the Ontarians are afraid of the Conservatives?
Sask is the cradle of farmer cooperatives, the NDP and socialized medicine yet we understand , you vote for the party who has a chance to govern the country not the party
who is number 3!

She betrayed the voters that elected her, and went to Martin after he offered her a cabinet position and a nice handsome salary raise *wink wink nudge nudge* to push the upcoming critical vote in the Liberals favour (the loss of the vote would have collapsed the government at the time). She STILL expects to be voted in this year, but her political career may have collapsed on that stupid move. She clearly indicated at that point that she is only interested in power and money.

She has money, lots of it. I doubt a few $k more a year is going to make her do anything, when sh'es already worth $10's millions.

"Of the many reasons for that reversal, one stands in sharp relief. Between elections, Conservatives looked unflinchingly at why they lost while smug Liberals convinced themselves they had won because they were smarter, shrewd, more compelling. One party was honest with itself and learned, the other wasn't and didn't.

A few days before the first campaign shot was fired, a senior Martin cabinet minister confided how Liberals planned to morph a minority into a majority. They would make Stephen Harper the ballot question one more time.

What the strategists missed is that all those moments, all those turning points, changed the campaign dynamic. This election is not about Harper and an apprehended Conservative threat, but about Martin and the Liberal record. Rather than a referendum on unity in Quebec, the second election in less than two years is a national referendum on this prime minister."

Are you serious!? Harper was the only one who talked strategy and policy this whole campaign. Layton feels money will answer lifes problems and Martin is deluded into thinking we're some 60's era love fest where he can campaign on feeling based politics. CBC is rerunning the three leaders forums they hosted today and you'll see what I'm talking about. Harper gives real examples and policies to every question fronted him, while Martin dithers and tries to pull off a popularity contest.
