TORONTO (CP) - The effects of Hurricane Katrina were felt at gasoline stations across Canada on Wednesday as weary motorists already struggling with high fuel prices faced increases of as much as 20 cents a litre from the day before.

On Wednesday, prices soared to about $1.20 a litre at some Toronto stations, a jump of about 20 cents.

$1.20CAD/L = $3.82US/Gal
$0.20CAD/L = $0.64US/Gal

Yeah it went up to a $1.25 here in Nova Scotia. That's $4US/Gal. It's unfortunate.

Yes. And lobster fuel is also skyrocketing.

I filled up yesterday at $1.119 per litter and found most places still at the same price, however one local Petro Canada station on the Hwy is posting $1.200.

Prices around Toronto are 1.03-1.05. I saw 1.20 this morning but that was ONE station.

ugh, I drive a small car and it costs more than $45 to fill it up, THATS NOT RIGHT.
