Thanks!!
Just be careful about getting an oilfield truck. If it was registered in AB, or SK its probably been ridden hard and put away wet.
I know someone here who has exported our trucks every time the dollar falls apart. He's never had an issue.
and Thanks again!
Most recent one I looked at had 11k miles on it; Super Crew Cab F-150, ecoboost. I cannot believe how big the back seat area is on those things. As my wife said, I could toss a small mattress in there and sleep in the back end. Hey... wait a second... why'd she say that?

And,
1 dealer, multiple locations, as much as 90 minutes apart. Stopped in lot #1 (10 minutes from son #2's house, so it was convenient for a visit); didn't see anything that interested me. Stopped in lot #2: ended up steered toward a truck by a young kid; been a salesman less than a month. Then it hit me - I told him I didn't want that color. If that vehicle was silver, or red, or blue, I would have purchased it. Went home to think about it. Their inventory had 3 trucks, red, that matched; but they weren't on any of the lots yet - still in transit. Got a call, one of them was in at the location 2 hours away - sorry, we're working with the salesman at location #2. Salesman at location #2 called, said he could get one in. Told him we'd be out at 6pm; it's an hour away. Got there, it wasn't one of them, but one *just like them.* Test drove it, liked it. But the ones that were in transit were $2000 less, so said we'd wait. Salesman corrected us - "the supercab is the 4 door; crew is Chevy's term for 4 door." No! NO NO NO! We went home thinking, "that's weird. I thought the supercab was the 1 1/2, with the back doors that open backwards (no exterior handles.) Got home, looked it up. Idiot. Yes, Ford does refer to the cab differently. It's "supercrew and supercab." The supercabs were in transit. The supercrews were in stock. I could have driven the truck home. So, called this morning, "I want in writing, exactly what I need to install myself for the tow package, since it doesn't have it." (Ford site lists a tow package, and a maxtow package; seems I simply need the hitch, since a salesman said it was pre-wired. I want it in writing, since I didn't crawl underneath, and warranty could be voided if I don't have everything set.) Said he'd text us back. Well, as of 2pm, they sold the truck we test drove last night. Gah!
Incidentally, yes, I've looked at stock at just about every dealer within 100 miles.
