Chris Barber, a key organizer of the so-called Freedom Convoy, has been arrested in Ottawa, CBC News has learned. He is currently in police custody and is expected to face criminal charges.

Barber has been described as one of the key leaders of the protest in Ottawa, which has now hit the three-week mark.

Barber is also one of three protest organizers named in the class action lawsuit filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice by lawyer Paul Champ on behalf of his client, 21-year-old public servant Zexi Li.

Oddly enough, this is basically accurate. When Canada mobilized to Kandahar, they had to borrow their Leopard 2 from Germany to have a modern tank (edit: with AC. The older Canadian Leopard had no AC...). Although after Germany repo'd "It", I read that Canada did buy a 2nd hand replacement from a used tank store in the Netherlands.

I'd rather the police do their jobs. But apparently they have no interest in enforcing laws against white conservatives.

Feel free to link to any similar protests that have shut down borders and cities for weeks. They also aren't just blocking one or two streets.

You pretend there needs to be equivalency. Some sort of objective measure. Come now, you should know better. There is simply the "enemy" and a decision to use a certain amount of aggression and force against "them". Whatever transgression necessitates the use of said force, is in the eye of the beholder. It is not your standards that will be applied, but "theirs".

As for comparisons. You do not need to occupy a street if you loot and burn buildings. The damage there is long lasting, and the actions much more violent and dangerous. But you are correct, riots do not need to physically blockade streets for as long. Except for Seattle's autonomous zone, that occupation lasted for some time.

My caution is knowing that one good turn deserves another. If people on the streets are to be labeled "terrorist", it will not be long before they agree in ways you never wanted.
