The more the psychopaths try to squash dissent, the more the dissent grows. Wonder how that works?!

Keep trying to silence people. Their numbers will only grow.
Look who sobered up enough to shitpost! Hi raildogg!

I guess enough is the word. It’s funny how someone who is complaining about dissent in this thread is supportive of Putin in another thread. That level of disconnect from reality is truly impressive.
He's a Republican; he isn't supposed to make sense or live in the real world. He's anti-US at the moment because the fascists are out of the White House and in at the Kremlin. As soon as the fascists retake the White House, he'll be feeling like his old flag-waving self.

You and your conservative buddies bitched and moaned at ANY form of protest by black people and they weren't trying to break the supply chain of the US. Now all of a sudden protesting is cool.

Did you forget Ron DeSantis make protesting illegal? There's Republicanism for ya. Your boy Trump even had peaceful BLM protestors in DC gassed and shot.

In case you haven’t noticed from Colon Kaepernick to BLM to this the idea of protesting is not a problem for them. The problem is black people protesting.

Can't really seen the connection with the Indian farmers - who were, after all, protesting against the policies of Modi, India's version of Trump. And the policies they were protesting about were largely neo-liberal ones, i.e. right-wing, consistent with the agenda of the likes of Reagan.

Oh yeah, liberal slander against Modi. You keep slandering Modi while we keep voting him into power.

Trudeau is a hypocrite because Trudeau supported Indian farmers protests for over a year. The farmers blocked roads and highways for over a year in our capital. But when it comes to his country, he has imposed draconian measures to quell the protesters immediately. Do as I say and not as I do for Trudeau, eh?

I do not support the cause of the convoy, but I support their right to protest. Trudeau has damaged his own cause by crushing the convoy and countries around the world will remember how liberal regimes have hypocritical standards for dealing with inconvenient protesters. Also this will no doubt have some kind of electoral impact for him. And oh, when that does indeed happen, I'm sure you and your liberal buddies can get together here and funnel more self-righteous rage and indignation in these forums.

You keep with your slander, just know that nothing is gonna change when it comes to Modi and the BJP winning elections after elections.
Will you be so glib during the next round of religious riots that the BJP is working overtime to setup? How many dead Indians will it take for you to understand that a Hindu nationalist party running the country is a bad idea? Modi is net negative for the health of India as a democracy.
Now back to Canada.

Since you are so concerned about Indian democracy, I recommend you study how riots happen in India and then comment upon it. Or you could do just what you are doing now and speak about matters you know nothing about.

Not my fault you can’t see the BJP for what it is. Another populist sectarian party. I wish India could form some real institutions and parties to deal with the rampant corruption that undermines her ability to move forward as quickly as she should be able to given the work ethic of her people. But you want to be Modi Bro instead because he offers simple solutions to the simple people.

Now please feel free to start a thread telling us all about his virtues because this has fuck all to with a bunch of racist truckers in Canada.

I'm sorry, but the circumstances are different here.

The convoy didn't have a permit. The 'protesters' also explicitly set out to occupy a populated area, not just block a road or make a temporary visit. They hobbled the downtown core of a city. They actively harassed residents and shops, and in some cases assaulted people (including the press). They bullied a homeless shelter into providing food; they desecrated a war memorial; the organizers included known racists; they used their children as human shields; and that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Here are just some of the examples of what the protesters did.

Imagine if the Indian farmers had gone out of their way to attack and otherwise disrupt local residents, and if their protests devolved into a general "grr, other political ideology bad" rage that was never going to be satisfied by negotiations. That's what the trucker convoy was. You can accept that demonstrable truth, or you can be wrong.

What? So I should just go ahead and assume you speak the conclusive truth and bow to the supreme genius that is you? Heh! And sorry for your delusions but the farmer's agitation wasn't all that rosy and feel goody either. They too have engaged in vandalism and violence. You don't think plowing tractors through the national capital seriously not gonna gonna hurt the right of its other residents? You have no idea of what India is like on the ground, but decide to run with the usual narrative (I know the Liberals hate this word), just because some idiot parroted all these lies on some online source.

There's mountains of photo and video evidence. And I know people in Ottawa who can attest to the harassment first-hand. You do not get to say "don't believe your eyes and ears." You do not get to deny the things I know happened.

I can't presume to know everything about the protests in India, but claiming the two situations are highly similar is ridiculous. Trudeau was justified, especially as the occupation had been going on for weeks with police seemingly unwilling or unable to act despite mounting problems.

Oh yeah? The same thing happened here too. We faced huge mounting problems too due to the agitations and Trudeau was okay with all that happily lending support to protests. What makes your problems much more important than ours? India has gone through a solid year of those protests and Trudeau couldn't bear it for a fortnight. We won't forget this.
