They become the main currency that you use at the sorcerers hut.

You can use them to upgrade stuff later on or use them in creating your own potions, etc. As you keep playing, you will get access to more stuff.

Is there a way to undo a sword enchantment or get another sword? I did the life steal sword and I can see it's inherent limitation. I wanted to switch to fire but can't seem to get another sword or undo this one...

you are stuck with it. You'll have to start a new game.

i messed up somewhere and i cant really farm castle entrance. I just clear it first time thru every time and only make 1k. same as whale level

edit: never they do, do the stairs just pay nothing?

IIRC the stairs pay zilch.

I farmed the underwater cave and then later the keep.

Still trying to get through hell.

I love this game. The idea, the implementation...the simplicity.

When I go to entrance, the castle throws something that hits my char and puts him at the beginning - I just let him get put back dozens of times, finally he got to the door with 12k.

Didn't seem like much point though, several minutes in the quest for 12k candy.

Only thing that seems benefical now will be the level after the dragon.

Too bad that's unbalanced. Lifesteal stuff sounds good but games seem to do it badly, same thing with Diablo Paladin - lifesteal sounded good, but was considered useless.

Are cows the most efficient "unattended " farming area? I thought the entrance was but waiting 10 minutes for 17000 seems a lot slower than just running cows for ~4000 each run...

Does the keep ever become possible without scrolls/potions?

yeah, i just tried it out and was able to beat it without interaction only losing 1/3 of my hp

but i am at the point where i already beat the game, lol

Hard mode, max hp is 100. :twisted:
