Cannot change "Signature" in my profile

Dear "Forum Issues":

Several times in recent months, I have attempted to change the "signature" text in my profile. Every time I make the edits and punch "Update Profile," the same, old signature-text reappears.

Is this some "decision" someone has made about my account? I would prefer to keep the same handle -- misspelling notwithstanding -- and continue with this account. Perhaps my speculations are "paranoid."

Please look into this for me, since I come back to this forum periodically, and plan to continue.

Clear your cache, cookies, saved form information, whatever. Make sure you're not using a banned e-mail address or anything similar. Then try. Worst case scenario, try it on a different computer.

I'd tell you what to do,but I hate the long signatures describing computers used instead of using the link to your rig.

Besides, it would be more embarrassing for me to know that there are probably 20 threads about this exact thing that all give the answer than for me to have old technology in my sig, but that's just me.

try using the system rigs feature on 'my anandtech', that way you can update your rig there and the link always stays the same. problem solved and you won't be annoying people who are trying to read a thread that's twice as long because of your sig.

i had this problem once i couldnt even change my avatar and it was my anit-virus and firewall to blame i turned it off and bam it worked

do you use ZA? i had it and at first it wouldn't let me change it either. i then added the forums as a trusted site and gave it full rights. it works now. also, try doing this in IE.

Actually, since he was embarrassed, I deleted it for him...
