Hello,
I am looking for any suggestions or help with my computer build. I have an Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe MB with 16 GB(4 - 4GB Sticks) of GSkill Trident, and an Intel 3770K CPU. I have checked that all component are compatable with the MB. My problem is that I cannot enter the BIOS via the dedicated delete key. I have gone around with Asus and they recommended that I replace the MB which I did. I am still experiencing the same issue. I have called Asus on this and the said that it was very unlikely that two MB's were defective. It was recommended that I remove the memory and try using 1 stick at a time to see if I could get into BIOS. Trying all four sticks, it is very unlikely that all 4 sticks are defective. I have also tried using another keyboard without any sucess. My only option left is to replace the CPU. I have contacted Intel and they said it was very unlikely that their CPU was defective but that they would replace it if I deceded to go down that path. It seems that there is finger pointing at this point. Does anyone have any intelligent thoughts as to what I can do for any further troubleshooting before I send back the CPU? As a side note, when I press the CLR CMOS button on the MB, I am able to get an American Microtrend splash screen that shows what I have connected to the MB and mentions to hit F1 to enter BIOS, but when I press F1 the display goes blank with nothing more happening.
