Cannot Install Windows XP

Hi all,
I recently posted "When booting from cold start, the first screen shows memory etc. Good so far. Then when the computer goes to the screen for Windown XP, all I get is a lot of colored lines, sort of like the snow on a TV. I have a RAID @. The RAID is good according to the computer. I am using Windows XP Pro. Any suggestions where to start? Or should I just start form scratch and reinstall Windows? "
I have subsequently purchased a new video card- no change. I then tried to repair Windows XP- freezes before the repair starts. Then I tried to do a reinstall of Windows Xp. Again the computer recognizes the Windows XP Disk and I can get all the way to where wndows "checking for a previous version of windows when the computer freezes.
This system has a K8N MSI neo 4 motherboard and two Seagate Barracuda 80 GB Hard drives (Mirrow 1). These are IDE drives. The RAID array shows healthy. I even removed each HD and connected them to a second computer using a usb ide adapter. All the data is there on each. I also did a check disk- all good.
Any suggestions where to begin to get this computer up and running?

First things first:

Try running MemTest86 overnight and see if errors come up.

Did you install the raid drivers @ the windows setup screen(before repair)?

I did not install the RAID drivers before the repair. Is it necessary? The RAID id "healthy.
I will run the memory test
I must add, the computer no longer boots to the snowey screen but now boots to a screen with the message:
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"
