Canon 7Dii most likely to have same old sensor

I didn't realize Canon sensors were that bad until I watched the video by Tony Whatshisname about why he's sticking with Canon due to better lenses. The noise in low light is really bad with Canon

The sensor is similar to the 70D with AF system that is similar or better than 1D X.

Perhaps the 7D ii would be a great sport camera if it produce better hit rate than the original 7D. What Canon did is giving amateur photographers the best of both world in 2 separate packages, 7D ii for sport and 6D for portraits/landscape at a combine price point that is similar to the 5D iii.

I haven't checked it out in detail yet, but it looks like the new 7d ii uses a similar sensor as the 70d. Product specs emphasize its video AF capability.

Too bad it's an APS-C sensor. I think I'm going to skip the smaller sensor and go straight for a full-frame.

Matt Granger posted some 6400 ISO shots from the 7D MK II. His photographs that he took at 6400 ISO look usable to me. I'd give it a short while for the major sites to review the image quality with regards to high ISO, so far it looks very good.

Those test shots are in JPG format and possibly are heavily NR in camera. I'm going wait till full size RAW sampling in low light situation to make the judgment.

Canon, the leader in maintaining the status quo. I've long given up on them for non-full frame sensors. Micro 4/3rds for me.

New 7D doesn't make me want to trade in my 70D anytime soon.

I love my 70D, its never let me down.
