thawolfman - There is an OM $50 off $250 coupon on FW but it's an online coupon not a printable ... however people (including myself) have been successful in clicking on the coupon link, doing a screen print and taking it to their OM B&M which accepts the coupon. As always YMMV and it's always best to call first, if they say YES they'll accept the coupon, go to OM immediately and ask specifically for that person.

You guys are lucky I paid $300 - $50 off $250 coupon = $250 with free 128MB CF.

It says with purchase, so I'm guessing it comes with it once you pay for it.

Nice price. I should get my dad to take back the Olympus 520 he got last night from OfficeDepot and get this one instead. The pictures that thing takes look like ASS and Macro sucks on it.

But I still love my 2-MP Panasonic DMC-LC20PP-S that I got for $200 last week with a $50 coupon.

Got the camera and a 128MB SD Card for free with the deal. Not only that, but it had a MIR for TWO 16MB SD cards are well. AND it already came with an 8MB SD card. It does video, burst image shots (5 at a time in sequence) and the Macro shots are AWESOME.

the canon a40 is very nice but how does it compare the the canon digital elphs, namely the s200 or the s330?

I got this camera the last time OfficeMax had the deal. It is awesome and I am very happy with it.

One problem I have is that the pics turn out dark even with the flash on. I can brighten the pics in a graphics and they look fine. I am wondering how to get the pics to be bright the first time. I think I am losing some quality due to the low light. Rossman, maybe you can provide some insight.

I don't have an A40, I have the s30 (which I got for $250) which has a lot of similar features, and there is a way raise the exposure setting. Not sure if your camera has that setting, but if it does, then that will work. An easier way would be to raise the ISO setting. I think your camera can be set at 50, 100 or 150. 150 will definitely help give you brighter pictures in dark conditions. Thirdly, you can adjust shutter speed. Leaving the shutter open longer will let more light in and give you a brighter picture. If you go slower than 1/60 of a second you'll need a tripod though. Also my camera will let you control flash intensity. If you have that setting you may want to play with that.
