I just purchased a Canon A40 and loaded up the driver, however, the computer doesn't recoginize the A40 when plugged into the front usb (Antec Easy USB port here). I've tested the front ports by hotsyncing my Palm using both front ports, and there were no problems. I tried hooking the printer up to the front ports, but it was never detected (the printer works fine when using the motherboard USB ports). I've tried to verify the pinouts using the info on the antec site and comparing it to the pinout identified on the ECS forum on amdmb.com. The pinouts look ok from what I understand.
I was able plug the A40 into the rear USB ports on my K7S5A and there were no problems whatsoever, just having problems with the front ports. I really don't want to use the rear USB ports every time I have to download pics into the computer, that's why I got the Antec Easy USB drive
I'm using Win XP Home with a K7S5A mobo (I know it's cheap, but this was my first mobo). Any help is greatly appreciated.
