Office Max, Major YMMV, according to her, Salesman is a flippin bonehead hot deal.
Her story, I only report it. YMMV since she was insistant and acted clueless as to things like discounts and model numbers.
"I got a Canon PowerShot A95 for $196 and change, 209.94 with tax. Plus a compact flash card reader/writer, a tripod, a soft case, a cleaning kit, and battery charger and rechargeable batteries, and a 256MB CF card."
How this happened (again, her words): "I decided to check out office Max since they had the A85 on sale for $218. Well, they didn't have it. So I asked if there was another camera they could offer that was similar. He said probably. I said hmmm, what about that one, it looks the same and is only a number off. (ok sometimes you gotta play dumb). He talked to someone else and they said OK. I asked if I got any kind of discount because they didn't have it in stock. So as I'm looking at the camera I ask if they have any kind of starter package available, you know accessories n stuff like that. He tells me not from canon, but they have another bundle for (I forget what). Hmmm I tell him. will it work with this? Don't ya need canon stuff? He tells me no. I said I needed to think about that. So as they are getting ready to ring it up I ask if I get any kind of discount because they didn't have the model I wanted and this is a substitute. So I got 10% and the starter kit thrown in. "
She says not to share but I feel otherwise. Always share, you may get a hot deal in return.
Oh yeah, she says the deals here aren't that great because she is more interested in shoes than what is the hot deal at Fry's this week. (as she rags me about reading BF ads 3 months in advance)
