You can avoid shipping charges at Best Buy if pick the item up at the store. Beware though, I tried this with a printer cartridge and it was a big mistake, I wasted over an hour while they tried to find my order..they never did! :|

Rebate is no longer valid -- probably part of the reason for the $100 price drop. Still, was $99 after rebate on 9/30, $49.99 today!

As for pickup in store, as stated on the item, this is not eligble for instore pickup.

I have the BJC-3000, and using it with a USB cable in Windows Millennium. It requires an A to B type of USB cable. The 6' cable, shipped overnight from Outpost.com is five bucks:

USB 6' A/B Cable

USB 10' A/B Cable

They also have a 15' cable, but I think that's over the length limit...may not be though, I don't have the .pdf manual installed. (Yeah, no hard-copy manual unless you want to break in the printer by printing it's manual out.)

Oh yeah, there are new WinMe drivers as well:
